Chef Stefano
Stefano cooks in the traditional Italian style, using the freshest natural ingredients, keeping recipes simple to allow the flavours of perfectly cooked quality ingredients to delight the taste buds; he knows the local area intimately, using seasonal local herbs, vegetables, meats, fish and fruits.
He first cooked lunch for Lynn and me in May 2018; he has been working with us ever since. he was excited to bring wild herbs and the first Porcini Mushroom he'd foraged that year. Watching his passion in the kitchen is a joy. Stefano's been interested in food his whole life brought up by restaurateurs; he decided to become a chef at fifteen.
Just make sure the kitchen's tidy and the dishwasher empty. Stefano lays the table where you choose to eat, on the terrace or at the dining table; you might even want to sit at the poolside bar and watch him BBQ or cook pizza in the wood-fired oven. He plates and serves then cleans up and loads the dishwasher after your meal.
There is a wide choice of menus from Florentine steaks, wild boar or hare, locally caught trout to swordfish, tortes with a variety of fillings, pasta with beautiful sauces and the best Lunigiana salamis and prosciutto. Whatever your taste, he will produce excellent, exciting, and tasty dishes for the whole family or groups of friends.
Prices vary according to the menu and number of people catered for. Wine can be provided by yourself, or he'll pair wines with the menu. We can arrange a wine sommelier to pair wine with each course if you want to go all out. All menus consist of antipasti, prima, seconda and desserts. Cost €100 per evening plus between €25 to €30 per head depending on the menu. These prices can change according to the number of people or for special requests.
As you can imagine, Chef Stefano gets very busy during the peak holiday season, so early booking is recommended.
